Questions families ask about caregiver coaching
No. Family Care Giving is caregiver training and coaching, teaching parents and caregivers the strategies used in your child’s therapy so they carry over into daily life, not a childcare service.
Typically parents and primary caregivers, though grandparents, siblings, or other regular caregivers can be included when it supports consistency at home.
Both, depending on what fits your family. Many caregivers benefit from a mix of in-center coaching and in-home support.
For most families enrolled in Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare, or MA-TEFRA, caregiver training is covered as part of the EIDBI benefit alongside your child’s other therapies.
That is expected, and it is exactly why coaching is built around your household, not a generic script. We work with the routines your family actually has.
